This weekend, March 7 and 8, 2026 was a true blessing for our parish, St. Vladimir Orthodox Church here in Trenton, New Jersey.  We were given the great opportunity to venerate and be anointed with Holy Myrrh from the Hawaiian Myrrh-streaming Iveron Icon of the Holy Theotokos.

More than 44 faithful gathered to be present for this special moment of grace and spiritual consolation.  It was truly a moving and prayerful experience for our entire parish community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Father Nectarios, the Icon's keeper, for bringing us this great joy and spiritual consolation during Great Lent.  As we sang the Akathist to the Iveron Icon of the Most Holy Thetokos,

Rejoice, O Gate of the Lord through which the faithful enter into salvation; 

Rejoice O protection and refuge of all who run to thee with faith.

May the Mother of God continue to watch over us and bless us!
